Year 3 - Gorilla

Welcome to the Gorilla Class page.

 

We look forward to meeting you and working with your children this year.

 

Mrs Goddard will be the class teacher on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and Mrs Tillin will be the class teacher on Wednesday afternoon, Thursday and Fridays. Mrs Carter is the class LSA from Monday to Friday.

 

There will be a chance for teachers and parents to meet up early in the term and discuss any issues that you feel we need to know about, and to discuss how your child has settled in.If you have any worries or concerns, then you will find us at the front of school until 3:30pm or you can arrange a meeting with us for a later time.

You will find that the spellings will be uploaded on this page every week, upcoming events and an update about achievements in Celebration Assembly each week.

Homework Expectations

 

  • A minimum of 5 reads each week recorded in their Reading Journals, which is checked every Friday with Mrs Tillin (the previous Friday to the Thursday).
  • The TTRockstars sheet needs to be completed.
  • An expectation of getting 80% in their weekly spelling test.

Well done to...

The whole class for great participation and showing great team spirit throughout sports day. 

Riley for his positive 'I can' attitude this week and showing great resilience in all areas of his learning. 

Riley, Reuben and Frankie for super effort with their writing in English; thinking very carefully about their use of full stops, capital letters, conjunctions and adjectives.

Lucas for completing extra work at home to support his handwriting and writing. He has also been more focused in class too.
