Welcome to Year 3!

Year 3 Team

Koala Class will be taught by Mrs Lawrence and Mr Grogut

Panda Class will be taught by Mrs Goddard and Miss Jones

Mrs Carter and Miss Harrod will support the children in class as well as run afternoon intervention groups.

Please don't hesitate to approach your class teacher if you have any concerns, problems or questions at the end of each day. Each child will have a Home School Book which you can use to communicate messages in or you can ring (01420 82532) or email (adminoffice@wootey-jun.hants.sch.uk) the office to arrange a phone appointment or to pass on information.

General Reminders

Water bottles:

Please ensure that your child has a named water bottle in school each day that it is filled with fresh water. A reminder that juice and squash are not allowed in class.

Uniform:

Please ensure all of your child’s clothing is labelled. All named clothing is easily returned, whereas everything unnamed goes to lost property. Jewellery is not permitted except for a small pair of studs and a wrist watch (not smart watches).

Pencil cases:

Please do not send your child to school with a pencil case. We provide all the necessary equipment as we do not have large enough trays for pencil cases. If your child is writing in pen, we will provide them with a handwriting pen which will be replaced when the old one runs out.

Physical Education

Both classes have PE on a Thursday and a Friday, so the  children need to come to school dressed in their PE kits every Thursday and Friday.

PE kit:

-Plain light blue polo shirt (does not have to have the school logo on)

-Black or navy shorts (these must be worn for Gymnastic sessions)

-White socks

-Trainers

-Plain black or navy tracksuit trousers or joggers and a school hoody (or school jumper) for when the weather gets colder

PE and Jewellery:

Long hair must be tied up. If ear-rings are worn they should be taken out for PE. If they are newly pierced or cannot be removed for another reason, please provide tape to cover the ear-rings until such a time as they can be removed. Only studs should be worn.

The only other item of jewellery permitted in school is a wrist watch. This also needs to be removed for PE.
